Since ancient times, alcoholic beverages have been intricately woven into the fabric of life and culture across various countries and regions. Through our dedicated import and export endeavors, we aim to foster a profound cultural exchange, sharing the rich heritage of our traditions with the world while embracing and introducing the diverse customs and cultures of other nations within our own.

COMPANY　PROFILE

Our company was founded in Shingashi, a historically significant area that flourished as a river transport hub connecting Edo (Tokyo) and Kawagoe until 1931, during the early Showa period.

For over 200 years since the establishment of Iketome in this region, our enterprise has navigated numerous changes across different eras. Nevertheless, our core business has consistently revolved around the sale of liquor, and we proudly uphold the legacy as the 7th generation in this enduring lineage.

IKETOME in the early 1900s

Domestically, our primary focus is the wholesale and retail of imported wines. We exclusively import a curated selection of wines and also engage in collaborative import ventures with approximately 80 domestic companies. With over three decades of experience, we have cultivated strong relationships with EU wineries, particularly in France, through regular visits and by inviting winemakers to Japan.

In the realm of exports, we obtained an alcohol export license in 2018, which enabled us to export Japanese whiskey and sake to China. We have established a successful track record with trading companies in Dalian and Xiamen. However, the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a temporary halt to our export activities shortly after they began.

In 2024, we are thrilled to resume our Japanese sake export business and are actively seeking new business partners. If you are interested in our sake offerings, we warmly invite you to contact us.
